Default Bruiser or scx10

I have an og bruiser minus the body and a couple various screws, nothing that would keep it benched. What my issue is, I want to build a scaler using the axial jeep body. So do i mod the daylights out of the bruiser or do I sell it and get the axial parts? I know the metal axles and 2/4wd 3 speed would be sweet but i dont really want to waste a great truck already to build something that may or may not work. so I guess im just looking for some advise on which way to go.

Thanks Guys.
