I just swapped one of the springs for the forks for a longer one.
Not taking credits for this.
Check out bruiserbuilder's site for the manual rebuild and mod.
Great source on the tranny work.
Enjoying the resto.

Default Project Farm truck toyota Hilux 58028 Pearly white.. hah!

I cut the ends of the u-bolt so they don't grab onto everything.

SO ive always been a fan of candy colors that kind of glimmer and look sticky and edible! haha.. now im no expert painter.. and this was done with a rattle can.. and is far from done.. but i seen a old hilux on tamiya club jumping off a ply wood ramp, catching some radical air! since then ive always wanted a lime green hilux! So tamiya it is, for TS-52 Candy Lime Green paint!

Now its 39 degrees here... so i warmed up the spray cans in a sink of warm water for 30 minutes... wet sanded and washed the body prior.. let it dry for almost 2 hours... ugh took forever lol.. and went out to my Unheated lawn shed to get out of the elements for some light coats to get this started!

im happy so far.. long ways to go.. gona let this cure.. wet sand again and couple more coats then maybe some decals or black out the hood? then clear coat it!

hope you enjoy as much as i enjoyed the paint fumes! hahahah JK!

well heres some pics for now.. teasers! Ill snap some better photos tomaro before work! as of now.. off to get this over time $$

thank you! comments suggestions welcome!

so, its cured now for couple days, so yesterday i sanded it lightly again, and added another coat of lime! i could call the lime done here, now on to detailing the windshield trim, door handles , tail lights and such! then search for some sr5 stripes from crawler graphics, then clear coat it finally!

heres the progress with 2nd coat.

enjoy!
