Default Mountaineer build up, powder coated chassis, project!

Thanks to my good buddy Richard, Rocpede! I received a super sweet and first for me professional powder coated bruiser chassis! Black!

Threw my old mounty body on, polished up my old trans, rummy bruiser axles, still a work in progress to tinker with!

Rc4wd Cchand steel black front bumper !

540 adapter w/ pullmaster motor

Can't wait to tinker some more!

Comments welcome! Enjoy!

The truck looks awesome...I have plans for an original one that I just acquired that are very similar. Did you powder coat the axles? Or just paint them? What did you use on the tranny because I've never seen one so shiny....

I don't recommend powder coating bruiser axles. So painting will be the best idea. I would recommend a self etching primer, before painting the axles. I've used Mothers mag and wheel polish for the tranny, axles and frame..

Mothers aluminum polish and a small dremel with polishing pad, size of a nickel. I'm going to spray paint the axles if I decide to do them up! The pot metal is to soft to powder coat then bake unfortunately :(

When I was building Bruisers years ago I would use the self etch primer then use Exhaust Header paint. Warm area - spray - use a heat gun on low to bake it - let it cool - repeat for desired coats.

Still gonna scratch but seemed to help it from just flaking off.

Miss my Bruisers, keep telling myself 'one of these days'
