I'm going to use the clod body/grill for a 1.9 scaler.. I'm going to throw a hard body Yukon on this thing.. 1/6 scale.

Heres the Yukon I'm putting the axles under... (Note, the version I have is red) It's 1/6th scale, so it'll be monsterous.

***I got tired of that huge Image.. It was a big New Bright Yukon body***

I'll be working on a new chassis design to go with this. Hopfully I'll have something done tonight.

Well.. A friend of mine saw this thing and flipped... Since it's an original from like 85, he wouldn't let me take it apart so we went to hobby people and got....

A brand new one. Plus some stuff, like two 55 turns and the top link mounts.

I went ahead and built the axles up already. I found an old chassis design that I'm going to use for this, so I'm developing the rest of the chassis now.

I got some more work done last night. I put an ax10 servo plate on each of the metal supports, so I could mount a servo on each axle. I still have to fine tune the steering links, but it's looking good so far.

I also rebuilt some old alum hotbody shocks and bolted them to the chassis. I'll try to get some pictures uploaded tonight.

Stuff I'm waiting for;

(x2) 55t motors
(x2) rc4wd upper link mounts
Tekin Rebel 2 ESC
material to build the links.. I haven't decided on what to use.. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of using 1/8th all thread, then a close fit alum hollow tube over it.. Or should I use some type of metal? Taping is out, so all thread is what I'm using, it's a matter of size though. Also the size of the rod ends.

Im not much for progress builds... So here it is, almost done...

Incidently, thats the first chassis I ever designed and waterjet cut. It's kind of fitting that it goes to my dad.

The only thing left to do is paint and mount. This ride was pimped!

I think I did a pretty good job, being my first clod.. Man this thing with 55turns and a 10 cell - It screams.. It's so fricken quick. It'll flip standing still.

Stats:
Tekin Rebel 2
Dual Steer (In sink, not independent)
Dual 55T
Mostly standard clod axles, locked differentials
Narrowed clod wheels
Custom chassis and links all the way around.

It's for my dad and hes using it for a basher, so I'm not really worried about that. If that did happen, it'll give me a reason to actually design a chassis for it. One a little more bullet proof. This one was just laying around.

Thanks.. I was really proud of it myself. It's a pretty straight forward paint job, but it turned out Really nice.

I'd be more concerned about bashing, as opposed to crawling... Did you design that chassis?
