Dunno...right now it does nothing but sit there. Maybe I need to install the electronics.

run2jeepn 03-09-2008 09:09 PM

Looks really good.... Hurry up and get some Electronics...:)

JeremyH 03-09-2008 09:18 PM

Most of the electronics are sitting on my workbench. Just waiting on the castlelink and some free time (stressful job and studying for a big exam). I cant wait to get this thing running. It feels like a looooong time since I bought the parts for the axles from you.

Mayhem Eng. 03-09-2008 09:20 PM

HaHa....well, sometimes you gotta move away from the rocks for other reasons. I more than doubled my salary to move to Houston. I'll pick that over good crawling spots anyday!

mudboger07 03-11-2008 01:34 PM

Ya I got a healthy raise myself. So far it looks like the nearest comp is in Columbia tenn. about 3 hours away. not bad thow."thumbsup"

JeremyH 03-13-2008 06:11 PM

I've been in the garage with scissors and CA glue:

Man, these things take a while to make!

Very nice looking rig, I am starting a 2.2 clod myself next week over spring break. Your telling me about taking a while to build. When I built my super I was totally new to crawling (not R/C) and it took a solid 3-4 months to get it actually comp worthy..... granted thats building paycheck to paycheck.... Good luck running that thing, it looks like it will do fine...

JeremyH 03-13-2008 08:08 PM

Thanks man. Here's hoping that it pays off and this thing performs well!

tires look good, how tall?

your gonna wanna go ahead and cut off that bolt/mount on the gear case at the rearmost part after the motor, at least on your rear axle.
i used to hang up on that little thing all the time when i first built mine.
it hangs on rocks when you start climbing up something steep.

i dont think its really needed anyways since you have the 2 bolts going through that part to hold the motor on

Tires should be around 5.75in Tall.

x2 on cutting that rear bolt on the case. It's a Must."thumbsup"

JeremyH 03-14-2008 05:05 AM

Yeah....the cases will get shaved soon!

JeremyH 03-16-2008 09:11 PM

I got a bit of work done this weekend.

Finished up all of the tires:

Also shaved the front and rear axles and started making a rear lockout bracket:

I simplified the rear lockout bracket:
