| Custom Clod Axle; How wide and how tall?
I'm looking to make something really creative, and I can make a clod as wide as I want and get the center diff as high as I want. How much clearance do you think would be adequate? Consider this: Stock axles, the C's are as low as the diff. So lets measure from the bottom of the C up to the diff. I think 1.5" would be plenty, and not raise the COG too much. As for width, I'm thinking 14-15" WMS to WMS (where you bolt the wheel on) How about you guys? Imagine emaxx axles with a clod center gear case, thats about what I'm going for. |

I've been thinking about widening a clod axle too, more to reduce the scrub radius when using conventional wheel wideners. Thats about as far as I've got though! Thinking hurts. |

how wide are your axles Ace? And why did you do them that size? What size/clearance would you prefer?

El Capitan is 14" outside wheel to outside wheel. I feel this is to narrow for a competition rig. Maybe 16" ow to ow...
