well i bought this as a roller from iwantoffroad about 2 weeks ago it finally came and looked like this :

i needed some stuff for it so i had bought the stuff ahead of time before getting the truck i bought some rc4wd steerings links and some 12-14 mm wheel adapters, also had 2 mg946r servos on the way from jpcustoms.com
so after a little work this is what i have so far :

but i still need to get some lower shock mounts which i'm hoping iwill be able to find some soon

Might wanna rethink the steering linkage(left side in the pic where the top and bottom links meet), get that side a little tighter.
You are loosing alot of steering with it moving side to side.

I think the spacer you are using between the steering links is to wide, you might be restricting the ball end's movement.

I see Digler Custom Crawlers on the chassis? Is this a Dirk Digler design?

usa1man: you live in Janesville WI? Do you crawl with the MWRCA guys? These guys will be having a comp or two up at Devil's Lake this year, you should check it out, awesome place, I will be there for sure.

It's actually a little south of The Dells.
Devil's Lake isn't too far of a drive for you, here's a map:

Daaaaamn, that chassis has had more owners than I can remember, it's the whore of RCC.

Still a good rig though, there's a reason it's still getting used.

Nice! Those are best tires on the market for Devils lake. My XL's can't hook nearly as good.

Yeah that chassis has been passed around, I remember when I went to Colorado a few years back Bigtex was using a chassis very similar to it. Worked really really good.

If I had to suggest tips...
I'd go with narrower wheel adaptors for better gate width clearance and decreased leverage on the servo. As narrow as you can go without the tires rubbing the links.

Reduce the flex, sometimes it's better to carry a wheel then fall in a crack. Helps with the balance when off camber flexing.

Longer steering link, link is to short causing it to steer good in one direction but come up short on the other. If you need help creating a new one let me know I have the tools. Of course two spacer nuts on each end of the thread portion of the link between the rod ends works great to.

Shorter servo horn, that horn is longer then nessisary causing reduced torque. One inch long seems to be perfect for full throw in both directions.

Flip your knuckles left to right, for better clearance. I know they look centered but they are offset. If you flip them you can raise your steering link up closer to the servo for better clearance and servo leverage. Reduces the stress on the drag link knuckle as well.

If I had to suggest next $ mods...

Rear steering (Really would struggle through super class courses without it.)

Aluminium knuckles (When your at devils lake your often 15 minutes from the car and breakage occurs when out on the trail.)

Aluminium Servo arms (Cheap and one less thing you would have to worry about.)

CVD's (tighter turning and durability.)

how do i go about reducing the flex on it ? can i just add some fuel line to the shock shafts ?
