Default more power?

I had my clod setup pretty good with a 3000mah 6-cell, 2 65 turn integy lathes and 6th pinions with stock size tires. I recently upgraded to 40s mudslingers and the truck has considerably less power. How should I fix this? will adding a cell to the pack help? different pack? motors? BTW I'm runnin a rooster esc.

3-cell 4500mah lipo and 35t motors with the 6tooth pinions works great.

Just swaping to 35t lathe motors will net you a considerable power gain.

I'm a little confused. I thought with higher turns you get more torque and less wheel speed. So I would want more turns, but, kamikaze says less?

hey

More turns means less power over all. (lower amp draw, due to higher internal resistance)

A higher turn motor does run happier in the low rpm range, but I have found anything over a 55t is fairly useless on a super unless you run 9.6v (8cells) or more.

If you have a rooster, I think you can run dual 35s, if you have a rooster crawler you can only run dual 55s.

Going to a 7 cell will always help.

The higher turn motors do produce more wheelspeed but torque goes up as well.
This is what i have learned from the switch that i made.
My first setup was 8t pinions,55t motors, and 7 cell NIMH knuckle packs. I never broke the stock gears with that setup.(i run CVD's so axles were not a issue).
New setup.
7tooth pinions,45tmotors,and a 3 cell lipo. I have more wheelspeed than before and the stock clod gear set can be broke on demand. You get the truck in a bind and give it the throttle and something is going to move or break.

I now have a set of 6tooth pinions,35t motors, and allum. gearsets on the way.

I have a pair of 27 turn motors (not sure on brand) should I try these? I thought since I was happy with the wheelspeed and torque with stock sized tires I just needed some more juice with the taller 40s but maybe a motor change is needed?

So all this time I thought "higher turn=more torque" I was wrong?
What would be good for a NN chassis running raptor2 axles BTW i have 2:1 units and a MM with 3 cell lipo but have been told it can handle 4...hmmm

Questions answered thanks!

But what brushless motor/ and pinion combo would work similar to this?
-----New setup.
7tooth pinions,45tmotors,and a 3 cell lipo---------
