Default clod rockracer?

As there arnt a lot of rocky areas around where i live, i want more speed, would integy 55s and novak roster and 6 calls with stock 13 tooth pinions give me anough torque for slow stuff. At the moment im running 8 tooth pinions and it is to slow or would 9 pinions give anough speed?.

you wont arent really going to get a whole of speed out of 55t...i would say get some 35t or even 27t, they will give you more topend and still enough punch to crawl...just my $0.02

why would call a pinion 6 times?

youll need at least the stock 13t pinions with the 55turn, and i doubt that will be enough. you will probly need 35T or maybe even 27T motors depending on the course (and what kinda all out speed your after)

I just want about 10 mph?,the areas i run mainly just dirt with small hills, banks etc.I found my original moters and pinions so i will try the different combos.standard moter with 8,9 tooth,55 with 13 tooth etc.

My comp super clod runs 55t's with a 9t pinion out back and a 10t pinion up front with a mamba max and 12 volts. It'll get up and go. Voltage always helps, but on a small battery I would say bump up to some 45t or 35t motors.

I agree, I think you'll need to go to 35t at least with a 6 bcell. I got great advice here and volted up to 9.6 and made a huge difference in speed. I'm going 12 volts next.
Good luck, post up with results

check out Kamikazes setup he uses the 35t Warrior motors from JP Customs (I'm guessing on vendor) and I dont know if his Super could be classified as a Rock Racer but it sure looks fast...

i tried the 55s with 13 tooths and a bit more speed but torque down a bit! so i will try different moters. You cant run more than 7.2 volts through a novak ESC can you?

I'm still running the stock silver can Tamiya motors and stock pinions. Still has good slow speed, only a little bit of clod stall, and gets going faster than my WK with a 550 Maxx motor in it. I'm pretty impressed.

Its really difficult to put thos motors in due their long motor cans.

REALY HARD, they will most likely hit the links if not the tires

Would be great though if somebody get it done
