| Scratch build Stick project...!!!!!
Well a few week back I got a Super from Yota, a Stick set up. I just got finished with that build. Keep in mind all I've had were 2.2's. So I wanted a Super class crawler to just have fun with. Of course when I got it I went deep into the wallet to make it sick! Anywho, I love it! The Stick is a crazy design but works awesome! Of course you guys know this already.... So I was sitting around in the "Man" room of the house messing around with what the wife calls "Guy crap" and looked around the room and it clicked that I had enough Delrin and Aluminum and spare parts to build a 2.2 stick. I changed the ends to connect different so it turns on the rod itself. The shock mounts are Delrin. Stainless screws, and Traxxas links. Axail shocks. This is what I have so far. I'll keep you up to date as the build goes on....... |

I'm doing a 2.2 build on this......its 12 1/4" long. I'll see how that works out for now. If I need to shorten it I can.... |

I am assuming this is going to be a clod build so I moved it to the clod section, let me know if you had other plans. |

The 2.2 SCALE section is for rigs that have a SCALE appearance, that is all, good work on your build and good luck with axle swing! |

You think that will be a prob doing it on a 2.2? If so why? Last edited by TattooKenny; 05-12-2008 at 11:06 PM. Reason: Didnt mean to say "Scale" |

Are there official rules for a scalar "Stick" besides limiting to the 12.5 inches?

i think what everyone is trying to say is that a stick isnt a scale chassis. how many other 1:1 4x4's do you see with a stick chassis

I'm not trying to build a "Scale" "Stick"? I'm building a 2.2 Comp Class stick.....I put this post up in the "Scale" forum on accident. So it got moved here. The stick could never look scale? Just to clear that up for everyone....It will be a 12.5" stick with Delrin shock mounts, Clod axle's, 2.2 wheels, ect.....I was just showing how I built a stick set up from scrap laying around and wanted to show progress throughout the build. |
