Default two 7.2's or one 14.4?

I'm running the evx with one battery right on my JK Rubiclod. I want to experiment with 14.4 and see what it's speed is like on my rig. Can i run just one battery at 14.4v or must i run two 7.2's? It's less of a hassle to mount one battery on my rig so i was wondering if it was possible?

thanks
Chris

just Velcro two stick packs together. do you have a charger capable of doing a 14.4 volt pack? most will only go to 8 or 10 cells.

I have a similar setup and 14.4 is fun. My driving is a little hard to control, but the wheelspeed makes some climbs possible that are just ridiculous.

In a competition situation, I think a little less power might be a good thing. .

I'm thinking something like an 8 cell or a 3s lipo with 55t lathes would be perfect on my 2.2.

That's why i'm going for more juice: more fun I got pretty good wheel speed with 10t pinions and 35t integy lathe motors but not enough and i experience a little bit of clod stall sometimes too. I want enough speed to sling mud all over the vehicle and race up hills so i think duals will do the trick. I'm betting i will have some snaps in the steering since i've had three so far with a single battery. It's mainly due to the evx not having brakes so something's gotta stop me Once i run out of stock replacements parts, i'll upgrade to alum.
