Default Big Pimpin...or not?

I have a clod but I have decided to pimp it out super cane style. What I have yet to figure out is what length chassis to get and why. I do not want 2.2 so its going to be super class. However, I need to determine 16-20" length. I have no desire to compete in crawling comps, I simply want to crawl the hell outta some big rocks! Can some of you pimp cane folks provide some insight as to chassis lenght and performance?

I believe I got an E-Mail from you as well. If not I'll just stat what I Sent to who ever..lol

Depending on what tires you choose. I would go with a 40's or a XTM wheel. Then for right now the only real Comp Tire we have is the Moab. Now it comes in XL and standard size. For the XL I would go with a 17.5in to 19in Wheelbase. For the Standard size Moab a 16in to 17in will do. 4WS will make turning 100% easier.

Now if your not going to run Comps a 14in'er is alot of fun. You can run some 5.5in Tall 2.2 tires or even Maxx sized wheels and tires. This way you can save a little. 4WS would be nice, but needed as much as the longer Wheelbases. So you would save on a Steering Kit and Servo. A 14in'er will keep things fun for longer.

40's Tires-Moab, Moab XL's, Mashers, Rc4wd as a few as well.
Maxx- Badlands, Mashers
2.2- Rc4wd 2.2 Crushers or buy/make of 2.2 Molanders or Jordans. (Do a serach on those)

If you are want to just crawl everything you see go as long as possible. The longer it is the better it will climb but its harder to turn in a tight spot but if your not worried about staying on course it won't matter.

I have had a 17.5 and currently have an 18.5 pimp cane...both had places they worked better.Just figure more wheel base is better for crazy climbs and shorter turns better....
