Default Squatty Clod

Long time reader, first time poster. I have a CPE Sniper (old style) Clod used mostly for bashing and a little crawling. I have locked rear diff, open front diff, TTR Wheel wideners, stock tires and wheels and stock body. Super Duty XR esc, with 15T Venom Fireballs and 9T pinions. Its a lot of fun to drive with one battery pack, but 2 battery packs is insane. The only problem i have is my shocks. With 2 battery packs, the truck squats on take off an never recovers. It also bottoms out on every minor jump. I am using the stock E-Maxx oil shocks with the red springs. Would the blue springs (rated at 8.3 lbs) be enough to handle the truck and the 2 battery packs or could someone advise a totally different shock set-up. I was looking at the Integy shocks for the LST (MSR6 I believe), but have not heard anything good about Integy products.

Firmer springs are definately going to help. Maybe try standing them up a little more vertical?

I can't comment on the dual battery pack part, but my CPE Evolution stays pretty stable with stock Associated MGT shocks. They have faux resevoirs and only squat a bit on takeoff but come back pretty well after a few feet.

Throw some shims on the springs for a little more pre-load.
That would be the cheapest way to go for firmer springs.
If you still bottom out try some thicker oil.

Have you made sure the shocks aren't sticking and need a rebuild? If not then spring up and thicken the oil.

The truck does great with one battery pack, but 2 makes it squat and it never comes back up until i let off the throttle. I will try some stiffer springs and thicker oil and see what that does. Thanks for the replies.
