Making parts that fit to those old axles a bit frustrating? Just where ARE those mounting holes located?
Based on my mikes and a few evenings' work. Not accurate enough to MAKE a tranny, but close enough to get the holes for brackets correct.

Yes. Pretty, but for the average Joe without CAD skills (but the trimmed steering stops are a nice touch!)...
Having the dimensions shown is useful, so I did the drawings this way. Most interested parties will just want the location of mounting points.
I have advanced CAD skills, from AutoCAd to ProEngineer, to Solidworks, I can use them all. I design gun parts for a living, this was a side project.

Meanwhile, here's one of my own renders. Done in Bryce4, forever ago.

Bryce is a cool program, but does a lot of work for you and that limits the program I think. But sweet for Landscapes and water.

If you dig, you will find that Bryce has a LOT of flexibility.
Bryce is an "overlay" program. Basically a simple Windows interface linked to an extremely powerful render engine. Hackers play with it, or at least they did 10 years ago, when I was still using Bryce a lot.
Where I have issue with Bryce is its useless orthogonal views. Working in them is utterly impossible, so you have to work in the main window, continually tweaking something, and then having to rotate the view to see if you got it right.
A former employer had StudioMax3, and once you've used a program like it, Bryce becomes a background generator.
What Bryce SHINES at is SKY. Beautiful cloud formations, lighting effects that dazzle. It's close to impossible to make an ugly image with it.

If you hover your mouse over each link here, you'll see the file locations.
Just manually type them into the address bar, and they'll pop up one by one. (You may have to hit reload once or twice)
I had to block hotlinks, my images were being jacked.

AWESOME! Thank you! I spent a good 2 hours last night with a square and a axle trying to lay some stuff out. Probably junk it all now because your calculations are MUCH better. Thanks again man.
