| Blacked out clod
I finnally got a hold of a clod body 2 in fact and two sets of axles aswell for a price you would never believe so i;m gonna make a 2.2 and a 1.9 once i get ahold of some smaller axles so here goes the built i forgot to get some pics of the chassis befor i painted it. I'm gonna try to make it as close to scale as i can using clod axles. Last edited by thor04; 10-01-2008 at 12:47 AM. |

I was going to build one just like this but those darm motors hanging on the gearcases riun it for me. Should look good though, nice body for being used too.

I like it. Looks really good. You did a good job of hiding the axles! |

whatever you do take that body off and get a lexan chevy from proline. I know your after scale but thats an original clod body with bowtie grille and chevrolet tailgate their pretty rare and highly desirable itd be a shame to ruin them on a crawler

gooba it is a origanal clod body but its really hatched thats why i turned it into a crawler i do have a another one though and that is gonna be the shelf queen, its bone stock chevy grill and all except bumpers are a little rough. joe 14.4 all the way. that thing is heavier than my buggy but crawls like a damb but i am having a little problem with the front end and the droop system always wanting to flip over back wards when i give her but i think i got it fixed with a zip tie i really got to fix my windshield though. rock sliders and a new roll bar dual or single? |

I really like this truck, looks great. The quad is a nice touch. Didn't realize bow-tie bodies are rare. I have an original as well, but won't be using it anymore when my Hustler comes in. |

Thanks Guys. Are the bowties that rare? i got 2 more grills and tail gates one is kinda screwed up but the grills are brand new i was thinking of cutting one up and make a 84 chevy grill with the four head lights but the light lenses are too big. Got some rock sliders done tonight thinking of make new bumpers though ones that attach to the chassis and not the body.

I made a winch, some new bumpers, rock sliders, and did a bta steering and what a difference the bumpers dont drag or get hung up on rocks and same with the linkage so now i'm on to then next project you can see it in the background on one of the pics. i'll try to remember to take my memory card with me next time i go out and get some action shots Last edited by thor04; 11-07-2008 at 10:52 PM. |

| the original clod boddies have been discontinued because the original clod body had the chevy emblem on the grill and they lost the rights, so that is one of the reasons for coming out the super clodbuster. You can still buy them on ebay. Last edited by soilwork; 11-08-2008 at 02:38 PM. |

| but it's only the grill not the body as the grill is a seperate piece. so it has nothing to do with it being changed to the "super" clodbuster. it was called super due to stronger construction in some areas.
