Default RC4wD 4:1 gear reduction unit

I am thinking of adding these to my Clod, I have JPS Axels with a CLod Z2 chassis, has any one used these and most importantly will the motors still clear the lower 4 links once installed?

ALso I use my clod for pulling excessive weight for long periods of time, any motor suggestions to go along with the reduction unit? Or any feedback on the durabilty and functionability would be awesome!!!

THanks!!!

GRU will give you a smooth acceleration. I'm using a BM-17 from TCS. These motors will destroy your 4:1 GRU. I would suggest using a brushed motor or something like a Crawlmaster or Revolver. I also run Raptor2 axles, which are excellent for pulling loads. Look into running a Pimp Cane chassis if you are having problems with suspension link clearance.

Don't waist your money. A 6 tooth pinion is more than enough geardown.

My Clods are running 11 and 13 with Thunder Tech adjustable motor mounts; no GRU's and no issues with breakage.
