Default My New Clodbuster...

Hey guys this is the new addition to my collection. I had gotten it for my son, but it needs a bit more work before it is ready for him. Tell me what you guys think. I just finished trimming the body up. I will take more shots after the battery is done charging.

will do as soon as i get it ready to run. the guy i got it from used some crappy associated servos and i can barely move the wheels. guy claimed they were good servos. so i need to pick up some high torq ones.

wow guys i took the truck out today just for a short run and as planned hit some rocks to try to climb. after i was done i pulled it into my house to look it over and noticed i broke one of those long rods that connect the middle of the chassis to the top of the front transmission. i could not believe it. i did not even hit the rocks hard. it snapped right at the part that screws into the actual loop cheap aluminum I guess. anyone know where i can get those things. they kinda look like push rods.

You broke a rod end?

Pictures are worth over nine thousand words.

Here are a couple pics of the part I broke. As you can see it snapped right at the thread starts.

the way the second pic looks there wasnt even anything in the rodend, if i was wrong it looks like you just broke the threaded rod but in the second pic it looks like you just stripped a rod end.

you can use a heavier gauge rod but you will have to drill out the little bit of plastic on the connectors

We sell both the plastic rod ends and can custom make replacement aluminum bars (called 4-links, either upper or lower).

Depending on what you're looking for, we either have basically duplicates of those plastic rod ends, or some that are about twice as thick that we've never had a failure on to date.

Thanks for the site. I will be sure to put that in my RC folder. I ended up snatching up a couple new better rods and steel rod ends off rc4wd site. They seem to have a lot of nice stuff. but she is back in business. i just picked up some axial beadlocks and some 40 series moabs. I gotta pick up a 12-17mm adapter next.

I just purchased one of those chassis off of Ebay. I believe it's a Inet chassis. These chassis are discontinued.
