Default Switching to the real thing

OK so I've had my NN Super running for some time now. Haven't done any comps as I'm still a terrible driver. I've been running a
-TCS NN Carbon Fiber Chassis
-Lengthened to a 18in wheelbase with Derlin links in the rear
-Mamba Max ESC
-Holmes 7T cobalts
-Raptor2 axles modded for 8t pinions
-Imex red rocks
-ProTek RC 2S Lipo Battery
-Spektrum Radio
-Castle CC BEC
-Hitec 5955 Servos
-Traxxas XXL Shocks

Heres what I want to do:
-Put real clod axles under it with;
Done-Integy axle tubes
Done-Integy all metal gear set
Done-JP knuckles for CVD's
Done-6 or 7 tooth pinion (I'll try both)
Done-Thundertech CVD's (Who has them?)
Done-Still Need one more-Stock Clod center section (Cheapest way to go?)
Done-Motor Mounts
Done-upper link mounts

-3S lipo battery if Cobalts can handle it
Done-Moabs or other homebuilt tire that rocks
-Done have a 19.5 or 21 WB I made both. Finish making my Derlin links and stretch it to a 19in WB
-DX6 radio
-Traxxas smooth bore xxl shocks

-Just thought of this one. Replace the Chassis Channel with a peice of Derlin. If it doesn't work, thats only a few bucks and time down the drain...

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
I would post pictures but can't find my camera...:-(

Cause I'm sick of busting the Ratpors. Their great for putting on the shelf and looking at but they always break. Their gears suck and the pins never stop breaking and the turning radius sucks. Wanna know anything else about them.

Just a lil... The power is AWESOME. I can bust the things on que...
I'm thinking the thundertech's can handle the power. Well at least I hope so.

I know wheelies and crawler don't really go together but, it does wheelies on concrete

I agree with all of the above the Raptors are the biggest waste of my Rc dollars ever! Totally dissapointed.

Here are a few picture updates. I'm still running those clear axles in the rear. (Waiting on another stock clod housing)
I'm going to somehow have to make room for my motors (7T Cobolts) I have a few ideas but well I'll tell you when I find out which one works best
And yes I know my knuckles are upside down... I like them that way! Going to make some weights kinda like the ones Kamikaze has on his super. I like that idea.

I'm in the same boat. I need to swap my lame Raptor2 axles for some Clods. I will be interested in how this setup will work for you. It seems to work well for most people. I wish I'd known how weak the Raptors are and spent my money more wisely. Keep this thread updated as I'm going to be doing the same axle swap soon.

I'm about to beat on a pair of Raptors (got them in a package deal, so I'm going to try them) and everything I've read has me expecting to break them, and subsequently build a pair of tricked-out Clod axles like what we see here.

Speedyboy - are you thinking of bolting a small weight to the bottom of the knuckle? What do you have in mind here? Sounds interesting, it would be weight in the right place that is NOT rotating weight (attached to wheels) but what could you make that would fit there and clear the wheels, yet still add a useable amount of weight?
