Well tell us how it works and all... Looks like the chassis is designed to just grab those rocks and never let go |

I like the color, and you can't go wrong when it comes to backyard bashing!

Another example of how much of an impact Axial has made in this market - nowadays everything is green, green, green. I used to really dig green parts but nowadays there's just too many of them. Hell, Chinese or whatever, it looks like a good starting point for you. Get it out on the rocks and let us know how it does. Make notes about stuff, things it does (or does'nt) do that you think you might be able to change. It looks like there's a few mounting point options already, and you can always drill more holes. As far as learning about all this, this forum alone has more information than you have time. One thing I see right off the bat in your pics - you have it propped up in a pose, and the tire is fully on the top of that bottle (what's Bundaberg?) and it looks hard as a rock. No deflection at all. You might start by seeing if you have real beadlock wheels (they look like the real deal) and if so pulling the tires off and star-cutting the foams. So the tires deflect more and wrap around rocks for better traction, and to cut down on the bouncing when the tires spin. Last edited by Big Mike; 11-13-2008 at 06:53 AM.

| Bundy's an Aussie brand of rum until I drank Polish Vodka or "Spiritus" (which is not even legal in Australia) ,I thought its the strongest s**t out there ...did the job fast when I was a kid. Apparently not (glued)...until this guy or someone else that knows crawlers does a full review on one of these Chinese toys (as far as I know)... |

Yea, I guess there's not much chance of spec'ing beadlock rims on a knock-off like this. They sure went to great lengths to make them LOOK like beadlocks. The tire compound itself may be rock-hard, since we're obviously not looking at real Moabs here... Last edited by Big Mike; 11-13-2008 at 07:46 AM.

| regarding the wheel/tyre specification, the publicity states: 10. Chrome plated Wheel Secure Cover is fixed by 18 screws ensuring the Tyre and Wheel Rim do not separate. That makes them beadlocks, no? |

+1 on the review...this caught my eye on something that can be pretty cool to make custom mods for and make a unique crawler.
