should work to start with, but i would upgrade eventually to a 55t or 65t they're pretty affordable 16 bucks each. holmeshobbies.com has them.

Default Motors??

What turn motor could someone run with stock gearing. I put a 65T integy in my wheely king on a 3C lipo at like 12V and from the stock 27 to 65t was a HUGE difference. I thought about maybe 35 or 45T for my clodbusters axles

I've two venom 65's running on std gearing (video in my stickish post) and although it climbs stairs really well it could do with gearing down, but it still crawls, it all depends on what you want to do with your truck.

if you're that worried about price your in the wrong hobby. just about all lathe motors can be had for around 20 bucks. if you want more features(ball bearings, etc) the price goes up.

it's "turn" and i'd work on your gearing first before shelling out the money for motors. 65's should have tons of torque if geared right.
