| to lock diffs or not on backyard basher?
I'm in the process of building up my backyard basher. I've had a few other CLODs in the past and never had locked diffs on any of them. I'm guessing if I locked both the front and rear diffs i'd loose alot of cornering ability. I'll be running a rear lock-out so what if I just locked the rear diff? Is this stupid idea or do guys have trucks where only one axle is locked?

Its not a stupid idea. I got a clod basher and I just lock the rear, and leave the front open. gives it more traction.

if it's not on asphalt and/or brushless....both axles are better locked. |

If you're just going to bash with it, you'll be fine with just the rear diff locked. That's how our race trucks are set up.
