| whose running aluminum knuckles?
Who out there has aluminum knuckles on their CLODs. I'm looking at getting a set but I always want the option that I can upgrade to aluminum axle tubes when I have more money. Whats the recomendations. I've looked at the JP, Inet, and Integy. If i'm not mistaken the Integy's wont work with the stock castor blocks.

JP seems to be the way to go and on most supers and 2.2. They also have a large selection and even some that are smaller so they fit inside a 2.2 wheel which I will be getting next.

I'll cast my vote for the JP knuckles as well. Nice, beefy, pieces. Also allows you to run NiMh cells on the knuckles, if you have the right sized rims to clear them.

Many of the Aftermarket Tubes will not work with the stock knuckles. Hot-Racing will no problem. Inetgys will if you file the knuckles a little. But many of them will only work with there own knuckles. My knuckles where designed to work with the stock tubes as well.

Seems to me you pretty much have to run aluminum...the stock knuckles break real easily, at least on me they do. JP's are the best, IMO...the Integy ones are junk, and the ones that have the steering arm bolted on separate (unsure of brand) are kind of nice for a 2.2 as they have a smaller diameter but the arms always come off and the bearings are not as big as the JP knuckles. |

Yeah i'm thinking the JP look the nicest, the other thing is what is the difference between the JP knuckles for the clod.

| No, not like that. What you broke was the C-hub of the axle tube. That is the weak link of the axles. Not the steering knuckle / bearing carrier. I have never seen a stock knuckle fail.

Probably, they came in a spare parts bag along with a Rockbull chassis, which is a sweet chassis once you finaly get it tuned...
