I ran it like that with stock tires a while ago. I'm not sure if it would handle the pwoer with real big tires though. Although i've seen people in vids run big tires and lathe motors on 14.4 volts (12 cells). I say try it if it breaks it breaks.

I ran my clod with Super Rooster and lathes on 12 cells for about 2hrs total and one of my lathes broke. the wire came off the armature(think i got that right). I'm not sure if it was just bad or if the voltage did it. I've run my truck for probably 10-15hrs total, mostly on 6 cells and it's been fine.

Heavy ran lathes on 14.4 volts for quite a while. It's an awesome combination with alot of power and he was the first person to top the infamous waterfall (now Heavy's hill) at Green River with it.

Now he runs a much lighter single pack or KAM 1080 6 pack.
