| Clod Motor Wiring
Im not sure if it says in the build manual but what does the power/economy switch do to the motors I have taken and rebuild my clod into a 1/6 setup and i am trying to get the motors setup right now i have removed the power/economy switch and wired the motors in series, the truck seems real sluggish and at the slightes hint of a tire locking up all the power shuts down from that motor and goes to the other one before i did this when the truck was in power mode it was very fast and had no problem going over obsticles what i need to know is, when it is in power mode are the motors in parallel? in economy series? |

Series causes the power to go to the motor with the least resistance, so wire it in parallel. Parallel is the way crawlers wire the motors. |

i was thinking thats what i would have to do but i was worried about my esp being able to handle the load from both motors i am using and Traxxas XL-1 and i wasn't sure what the turn count on the stock motors from the old clod buster was (vintage 1987) the reason i was asking about the switch was that in power mode everything was working fine but i didn't know what the switch physicly did to the wiring (parallel or series) i will try re-wiring the motors tomarrow and see where that gets me |

not too sure what the xl-1 can handle i am wanting to say around 17 - 19 turn but all it says on the traxxas site is mild modified which doesn't explain much ill go ahead and wire it in parallel and if it burns up oh well |
