looking good, whats the wheelbase?

chris_dishmon 12-29-2008 08:09 PM

just my opinion but that body is way too small for the chassis/wheelbase.

99% of bodies used on super based rigs don't fit.

The Grappler body fits awesome on my NN super!

4ONDFLR 12-30-2008 05:13 PM

the wheelbase is like 17.5" with 5" belly ground clearance. i dont really do comps but its fun just to work on it and play around. i want to do more comps but where i live theres not really supers. its pretty much me and my friend with them. he got me into crawling last year. it is my first time ever dealing with rc cars (i build 1:1 show trucks mostly) but its been a really awesome hobbie since i got into it, and way cheaper than workin on my show truck!

Awesome rig man...Love the Hummer body...How you like those Axial wheels? How much weight you got in them?

4ONDFLR 12-31-2008 12:53 PM

i havent had any probliems with them yet, but i dont really comp so.... ive got 16oz per front wheel and 3oz per back (i ran out of weights)

jedsled 12-31-2008 01:49 PM

looks great! a super is the only thing i'd ever put a hummer body on... "thumbsup"

4ONDFLR 12-31-2008 02:05 PM

now if i could only find some people in my area/state to compete with! everyone round here runs 2.2's.

SUPERINVA 12-31-2008 02:35 PM

I've seen it in person. It looks terrible. LOL!!!! The body turned out great, especially since it was your first paint job. Can't wait for the GTG on Saturday.

4ONDFLR 12-31-2008 02:53 PM

should be awesome, i cant wait! hopefully we wont get lost"thumbsup"

im also not building a scaler. i wanted a really small body so it would be less chance of the body getting hung up on the rocks. same reason why alot of people run tubers. im just not a fan of tubers.

pedemaster-rc 01-05-2009 10:49 AM

looks killer bro, and dont listen to the guys that say that body is too small. its just fine.

i appreciate it! its still a work in progress. its my first ever rc car build let alone a crawler. i normally build show cars but needed something to do in the winter months. i took it for its first run this weekend with the new set up and i think it did good. still need a few things but we shall see.....

pedemaster-rc 01-05-2009 08:28 PM

thats good, and you know, after you drive it enough it wont be just a winter rig lol

smokin0137 01-07-2009 01:54 PM

Here is a body that does not fit. What can you do?I love my clod the way it is.That is the most important thing to me.
