Default chassis help

new to clods, always had bruisers or tube crawlers with jugg tranny/axles
i want to build a clod, looking at "stick" chassis or 60/40 pro gecko what is the deal with 60/ 40 money isnt much of a problem, why do some people run 1 tooth smaller on rear axle? are there gear reduction units or are 9-8 tooth pinions low enough to run lst"s and is there a better tire than lst i see alot of people like them. any help would be nice thanks

60/40: Longer rear links, transfers more weight to the front axle, better performance when climbing.
Pinion size: 1 tooth smaller in the rear helps to eliminate axle stall, a problem with clods.
Gearing: 8 tooth is the lowest you can go. Along with 55 turn lathes and it's pretty low.
Gear reduction: You would have to custom build your own or have someone do it for you.
Tires: Lots of choices. Moabs seem to be the best/most popular right now. Most will tell you that they are much better than lst's. I'm hunting for a set right now.

Most people are going to tell you to try the search button, you can find almost all your answers there.
