Default Wheel Width

What is the preferred wheel width for super rigs? I am looking at the axial 40 series narrow beadlocks, but they still look too wide to be comp ready.

Must be confidential info. I think I'm just going to try the Axial narrow beadlocks in stock form and see how they perform. Are they the narrowest 40 series available?

I run these wheels they are good for 40series Moab XL and are narrow out of the package (2.24" wide). http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTTD0&P=SM

Then using 17mm wideners from Hot racing http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Hot-Racin...6-p-16819.html

Here's what they look like on my truck. I know the wheels don't look crawler-ish.

Looks to me like they can be narrowed (having 1/2" offset), but they look ok on 'brownie259's' truck.
