Independant rear steer... Use it when you need it. -Jay

Just the front....one less thing to go wrong. The turning circle is still good, but i run All-t's which helps.

I have a 17" wheelbase. With the diffs locked up, I have to have independent rear steering.

ya the independent rear isnt a bad idea. i think the rx that is in it is a 3ch anyway. only pita is i use an m8, so the 3rd channel is a pita to steer with

Depends on the WB, generally I would rather have 2ws than full-time 4ws. I feel that full-time 4ws will hurt you more than 2ws, sometimes having the rear tires turn when you dont want them to is a PITA. But if you have a 16"WB or longer you really need the 4ws to reduce the turning radius. Under 16" WB works just fine with 2ws. Bottom line: independent rear steer is best but given the choice between 2ws and full-time 4ws....I'll take 2ws and run a 15"WB.
