I recognize that truck. The exact truck, in fact. It's an RC Guy Venom chassis for the Clod. It dates back to '99 to maybe 2001, I think. If you contact RC Guy, I am sure he'll verify that. Anyway, back before crawling was what it today, that very truck showed up on places like RC Jim's or Clodtalk. That was before RCCrawler came along. I remember the original owner picked the truck up and found someone who said they could anodize the chassis for him. Long story short, he paid the guy, waited and waited, and after a long time the guy finally sent the chassis back in the horrible pink color you see. It was supposed to be red. Well, the guy who owned the truck at the time, decided there wasn't much he could about it at that point, and the anodizing on the cantilevers looked so bad that he polished the sides to clean them up. Then he painted the Yota body pinkish.

I cannot remember the original owner, but in a round about way, that chassis is kind of rare. Not that it's worth a lot today, but RC Guy did not manufacture very many of the Venoms. It's sort of a little history. That was back in the day when everyone was sure 90 degrees of articulation was best, and there were no offical comps. How times have changed.

I still love the look of cantilevered suspensions. They are awesome.

Check out rcmt.net.Someone on there might give you some insight as to who originally built that truck.I've seen it on ClodTalk and rcmt but the name of the builder is not coming to mind right now.I'll give it a shot and say maybe RCCasper or ZBigBadWolf used to own it.

Considering all the new crawler technology that surounds us it's nice to see that some of the old school Clodbuster stuff is still out there and inspiring new members of the RC world to explore their boundaries....

I remember this truck and all the trucks this dude used to build. Everything he did was top notch.....

He was all over Clod Talk way back when...Breaker 1-9 maybe? I cant remember, quick searc over there didnt turn much up. Its probably been archived.
