locking and steering? and more Q?

When you lock your rigs does it make a big diffrence on how well you can turn your wheels? i know it increases your turning radius. Also how much hard is it to turn the tires? I main right now climb dirt hills and some rocks with a stock motors but have lathe coming in from tower hobbies (hopefully soon). Should the lathes be able to power the truck with stock gearing with out putting to much demand on my ESC? Thanks

im not sure about turning differences coz i ran locked fronts from day one and just recently locked the rear. i am sure though that locking both differentials really help climbing and with lathe motors ... it'll add more power.
