This... http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Clod-Alumi...3A1%7C294%3A50 Only reason is becaues the upper axle housing support boss keeps blowing out on the stock ones and Im tired of having to JB weld them,,... Opinions? It looks like you still need the adjustable motor mount adapters on these, anyone make some that have the mounting holes already slotted? |

Those are the Integy Aluminum Axle housings. They are identical to your stock plastic housing, only molded in aluminum. Def stronger than plastic tho.

IMO those cases are way heavy and the like to stick to the rocks. Most that tried to run them went back to plastic cases. If you are popping the case around the upper link mount something is wrong. What upper link mount are you using? I run these and I have not had a single failure with either of our super rigs. http://www.tcscrawlers.com/GMade-Clo...o-p-16244.html |

I have been running the same top link mounts as joesbruiser posted on both my super rigs since GMade released them and have never had a problem. They are a great piece and will do you right. Carl |

umm, Like is said, the upper axle support keeps breaking, Im not having any problems with the link mount, I have no clue where yall got the idea that it was the link support. Its the hole to the right of the link support in ther pic joe posted . "Opinions? You could run a set of aluminum tubes and then you wont need the upper support bracket....

Im already running aluminum tubes and I need the support for the servo. "Blowing out" as in cracking, breaking, no good.. All I really need to know from people who are using the cases, is if theyre worth the money and are they a good upgrade as far as quality and fit goes, also if the Integy ones come with slotted motor mount holes, if not, are there any out there that do,,.. Simple enough...

I would not run those cases. Why not brace the servo so it does not stress that part of the case as much? |

What did you have in mind? The mounts are where theyre designed to be and I like the way they look in that location....... Since Im not really getting any definitive replies either way, Im just gonna go ahead and get them and hope for the best.

I gave you a good answer they suck. My servos have a boss on the back and you run a rod from the servo down to one of the bolts that hold your tubes to the case. |

"I gave you a good answer they suck." You call that a good answer? If you would have given a legitimate reason or two why you think they "suck" then your opinion would be more credible. And... "I pic would be good.".. |

Interesting carnage. Is your servo mounted on the stock axle brace, or does it bolt to the side of the gearcase? I've never seen anyone break that area out before. For what it's worth, I have the Integy cases and so far so good. Yes, they are heavy, but everyone adds weight to their crawlers anyway. I haven't run mine on the rocks yet, but in spring I will. I guess I'll see if they are a problem or not. Fit and finish on the Integy cases is okay. I had to clean one tapped hole out on each case with a tap, but it wasn't a big deal. The exact hole you have broken out in your photos. You might need a 3x.5 mm tap to do the trick. The axle tubes fit tight onto my cases also, but not a problem. The whole assembly is pretty dang solid when you're done bolting everything up. That's all I can tell you.

If they were better I would think that the past national super champs would have been running them.I think being one of them I would know They stick to the rocks something terrible and to me that is reason enough not to run them. But if you have your mind set on them then buy them But here is a pick from my top 08 nationals rig. There is a brace off the servo to the bolts holding the tube to the case and a brace off the servo mount to the case were the upper link mount bolts on. It keeps the servo from moving and spreads the load out.

That's a really great response to the 08 National Champion. If you didn't want peoples "OPINIONS" you should not have asked for them. Joe gave you some good advice as well as a solution to your problem. In return you got an attitude about it. Joes not the National Champ because his rig sucks. He's tried many different combinations of parts, and is kind enough to share his "OPINIONS" with us after having done the homework.
