Rear Steer Or Not In A Super?

I've heard Grizly4x4 mention this before and kind of agree that it can be a nuisance on many occasions ...but then again losing lots of steering angle might be too ???
Guys experienced in Supers please help !!!

Thanks !!!

note: I haven't upgraded to a 3 channel radio for dig yet.

absolutely!!!! everything has its pros and cons but..... it can be a pain in the butt but also if you get bound up you can sometimes use the rear steer to get you out. i ran mine with and without and would never go back to without

I would not build a Super without rear steer.

You just need to have the channels to be able to run independent rear steer.

I would def do rear steer. It helps when you're in a bind sometimes, not to mention the benifit of tight turns.

Agreed. Well worth having on a super, but it's most valuable when you can control it on it's own channel. I find myself mixing the steering channels together most of the time, because it's easier to run that way, but once in a while, it's handy to run them separately. I'm still getting the hang of using a stick radio for crawling, so maybe that's why I mix the steering 90% of the time.

Rear steer + dig on a super IMHO, i have one of my clods with both (claw chassis) and another one just with rear steer(pimp cane).

Edit: THH, you should look into an Acoms fm 40 mhz 4 ch radio, they weren't to expensive when i got mine a couple years ago, and you can control rear steer and dig individually.

I would not build a super with out a 4 channel.

Or one of those cool computer brain things that runs dig and rear steer on one channel

I've been searching for a tech thread on a 4-6 channel stick radio adapted to Clod dig/steer but cant find anything direct...

heres a link to a "how to" set up a Spektrum DX6 for rear steer and Dig.

Rear steer is an absolute must with a super. You can maybe get away with it if your wheelbase is at the absolute minimum. But an 18" Super would be undriveable without rear steer. IMO "thumbsup"

Check this out;-) http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showp...43&postcount=1 I have the acoms 4 ch radio and i can reccomend it to you since you are not in the states and fm 40 mhz shouldn't be a problem.
