Man, me and kaleb had a blast today. despite splitting two of my wheels and having to listen to him brag, all the way home, about how his crawlers a tank. Belle Island is a great spot. Worth the 1.5 hr drive.

Great pics and awsome crawlers! I noticed some of you run with your lower links mounted above axle center , while the advantages of this set up are obvious , are there any draw backs like axle wrap or link end wear ? Also what is the reason behind running the shocks up side down ? I'm a newbie and curious. Just looking at your pics put a big smile on my face well done.

Let me know the next time you head down that way and I will do my darnedest to make it. It would be great to participate in something like this. Heck, even just some trailing would be great fun.

And I think I forgot to mention those are some really nice looking rigs. Great work.

Carl

BTW, I would need some sort of directions, but you knew that.

theres not really any axlewrap cuz the upper links keep it from twisting.
and runnin the shocks upside down is cus there wasnt enuf room on the chassis side and it hit everything.

The reason you want to run the shocks upside down, is to help lower the center of gravity. The top side of the shock is heavier than the bottom(more material = more weight). Running the links on top of the axle also increases ground clearence , and the uper links keep it from getting axle wrap. I own the yellow SUPER and my sons is the one with the chopper up panel truck body and chrome wheels.

Do you have any idea as to when the money run starts and how long it might last? Trying to plan my day and perparations for driving down.
