Default Scale Clod "Cheap Trick"

Well I got tired of my old rig HOSS 2 just sitting on the shelf collecting dust so I decided to do a major overhaul for a low cost thus the name "Cheap Trick". I turned HOSS 2 into a 2.2 rig and had to do a lot of modding to the chassis. Take a look.

The old HOSS 2

Looks great! Have you ran it at all yet? If so, how does it preform compared to your old hoss. I can't wait to have another comp sometime so I can see all these new rigs , that is if I can make it out to one

Reminds me of Cheap Jeep from xtreme4x4 on spike.

Lets see some body off shots! What wheels are you using and how wide is the stance?

Homer the snorkel is made out of an arrow shaft and some composite type material I had lying around. I just cut a rough shape and then ground it into what you see and painted it.

Kid, I just got finished running it and let me say, it pretty cool. It crawls about like the FJ40. Maybe a little better.

The wheels are modified stampede rims. I grind out the back side and use the stock clod wheel adaptors because they are much stronger and will not allow the hexes to spin.

I'll get some body of shots soon.

Sweet rig. Like the snorkel

I just noticed the rear motor out back. How's that workin out for ya? I'm curious how the (departure angle) looks from the side...

The departure angle is not an issue. The nice thing about Clod axles is that they don't care which way you run them. I turned the rear axle around so it would fit under the body better for a more scale look. I have 2 rigs with this set up and they both run great.
