RX's 09' Comp rig CFNN 1 Attachment(s) This is the rig I'm going to use to beat the current National Champ with this year and regain my National Champion title. :flipoff: Picked up a CFNN chassis in the bargin bin at TSC a few years back so I figured I'd give it a try. Sucks though that I'm having to take apart the Copperhead. And before anyone ask no I'm not selling it. I got it for free (Thanks Kamikaze) so I'd feel bad making money off of it. I MAY give it away to a worthy driver. Huge thanks to my Sponsors TCS, Thunder Power, and Kamikaze Kustoms, and Joesbruiser for the tech advise. Well start the pics with a moment of silence for the Copperhead... |
May I please have your Copperhead? Someone please, I have been asking for years.........:-( |
2 Attachment(s) I'm starting out with WB of ~17½' and I'm replacing one of the very tried almost 3 year old Hitec 5995 with the new Futaba servo and Hands Brother BTA steering kit. Does any one notice anything wrong with the motor pic? I'm am running the same motors that were on the Copperhead 35T Warrior's. |
You have a broken endbell and missing a screw! |
2 Attachment(s) Ordered some ½' delrin rod from MCmastercarr. and made some links. Drilled and tapped them for 4mm to use revo rod end. |

3 Attachment(s) The Tunder Power 3300mAh battery fits nicely in the chassis. Still using the same traxxas big bores. And they still seemed to be full of oil "thumbsup" |
I'm in, THanks for the chance. Nah just kidding. I am building up a TCS NN super as well. I like those beefy links. I got the Hands Bros. BTA installed, works great. Got the same servo last week. Plenty of power for the super. Looks like a good start. |

2 Attachment(s) Last pics for now. Sitting nicely as a roller. Tomorrow I'm going to tear down the axles and go through them. And mount electronics. And do some thing with the screw tha tmounts tthe bottom of the shocks it's going to grab the tires the way it is and the motor if I flip it...thats probably why the endbell is bent on the other motor. |

If it works anything like the one I saw today in Tenn. it will be a keeper. Joe makes it look easy....... |
I'll watch...I am trying to get the motivation to rework my CFNN right now. I keep steeling parts off of it and it really does need to get rebuilt. BTW what lenth are the links and did you cut down the revo rod ends? |

Thanks now if it just felt easy. Joey If you will drill out one side of the TLT stays you can mout the shocks with a 3.. traxxas shoulder bolt.It makes a nice clean install. There is enough movement in the rod ends to keep the shocks and links from ninding. |
