Are you after a basher or a crawler?

I think for that chassis, and intending it as a crawler, I would lean toward using a droop set up.

What wheelbase are you after? Right now it looks a little bit short but it could just an illusion. Sixteen inches is a good starting number for a super sized crawler. But then you might also be shooting for a 2.2 crawler.

Thanks for the replys guys, when its drooped down its 15.5" wheel base, its going to be a crawler basher, and possibly comps in the near future, personally like it droop best for looks.

My other options was maybe a sem droop, and use an internal spring?

If it is going to be a crawler / basher, I would use some tipe of spring set up on it to dampen the shock on the axles. If you used a semi droop set up with internal and external springs, you would probely be happy with the performace on crawling and bashing. The shortest clod I have made is 16" and that is the bare minimume for crawling in my opinion. I have two at 18" and they crawl better at that length but would be poor for bashing unless I made them 10" tall. I do like the parts you are using, they should hold up except for the plactic knucles, and plastic axle housings. Let us know how it comes out.

Il be honest reguarding the wheel base, i just cant be arsed making any more links lol getting right red up with it and this build was ment to be a no/low cost build all made from spare parts i had knocking about, so this build so far has cost me a whopping £3.50 thats about $5.00 to the USA guys

WOW , I wish I had that many extra parts for a no cost build. That is great. Then I say run it the way it is.
