Question Help! Hot racing Axle tubes

I have been trying to find info on Hot Racings Axle tubes on RCC but no luck. Has any one used the long axle tubes? I am wanting to run the long tubes so I can eleminate the wheel extentions and get better performance out of my servo. Also with the alluminum tubes I can cloc the axle for better clearance. Any help would be great!

How well do they hold up (the longer axle shafts that come with them).?

Do you have to use the HR knucles that they say you have to use?
(I would like to keep the JRs that I have).

well i don't know about their shafts but if they are as good as their tubes the should be beasty. i beat the piss outta mine and they hold up great with only a few small scratches. and i'm the kinda guy who will send his clod cartwheeling down a hill.

Don't waste your time or money on the Long Tube Kit. The shafts won't hold up at. Hell there CVD's won't even last on 2.2's. And the shafts that come with that kit are even smaller.

But the Heavy Duty Tubes HR makes are Nice and work well. Just run TTR CVD's and your good.

Are the heavy duty tubes short or long? I am guessing short. I would reely like to lengthen the tubes so I can use shorter wheel extensions or eleminate them altogether. Any ideas on this, other than using the crapy long axle shafts?

They are stock length. Stay away from the Longer Tubes with HR Shafts.. Unless you like breaking them and waiting on HR for replacements.

Stock width axles are plenty wide enough with axial or proline wheels and and pretty much zero additional width adapters. I would suggest shooting for 14 to 14.5" overall track width, it seems to be perfect for stability and clearing gates while competing.
