Default Dual ESC question

Is it possible to run 2 different esc's on the same rig?I have an fxr and a super rooster and was wondering if I could use em on my clod crawler together.Or do I need 2 the same.I tried to find a thread about this and couldn't find one.

It is possible to do such a thing but not highly recommended.

You would be much better off buying a second FXR, but you knew that, for this rig and then using the Super Rooster on another one.

There are a lot of reasons for using two of the same ESCs and one of the best reasons is that your setup would be a lot easier and less confusing.

It should work just fine. The only thing is the throttle resolution of the two different speed controllers may mean one motor will be spinning at a different rate then the other, or one slightly before the other, but if you are crawling, that happens all the time anyway.

Life would be much easier with two of the same, but if you can't afford it, then it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Rite if you're going to have one end up being slower, put it in the rear.
Gives you like a perma dig lol
Much better to drag the rear then to push the front.

I would assume your are going going to use a 4+ channel set up. So, couldn't you just set up one to run slower to even it up?

Can you run 2 esc's on one channel with a y harness Or do I need to just run one? I have a tq3 with rear steer. This is my first one and have no clue on how to set it up. I have a 6 channel stick radio but reply don't like it.

Yes you can. Just make sure you take the positive wire out of one of the ESC's.

If your using your TQ3,I'd go with 1 esc.
I want to run 2 ,so I can take advantage of my 4 th channel for front and rear dig.
I can play with the settings on the esc's to setup speed for front and rear for sure Imboostedru. But I think I want the front a little faster(a C-hair faster)
