| 6wd esc?
Hi guys, need some info from smarter people then me. I currently building a 6x6 with clod axles, will use stock motors and will probably keep 6ws also. This will just be a truck for bashing and mud bogs. What individual esc or multiple esc's should I run?, obviously $ is a factor. Matt. |

| Not to the extent I can't afford any parts but I don't want to go buy 3x of a $140 esc. So far I have 4 complete axles for under $200can. I would prefer not to spend over $600 for the rest of the parts, but will if I HAVE too.

With one good ESC, you should have no problem running all three motors together. Tamiya silver cans are 27 turns. Three in parallel would be like one 9 turn motor by itself. Find any high qaulity ESC that can handle one motor of 9 turns or even less, and you'll be just fine. I know the Novak Super Duty could handle all three 27 turn motors just fine. Even on 14.4 volts. It's a $120 ESC. |

I've never even seen a 6 wheeler.I'd like to see some pics. Will it have a pivot point,or one solid chassis? Last edited by xblade; 05-06-2009 at 04:20 PM. |

Single motor limits @ 10 12 or 14 cells: None (550 size only) Dual motor limits @ 6 cells: 10 turns Dual motor limits @ 10 cells: None (550 size only) Dual motor limits @ 12 and 14 cells: 12 turns (550 size only) Got this right off their website, if they only allow a 10turn on dual motors for a 6cell then wouldn't my 3motors be to far out of spec. Xblade, do a youtube search for tiamat 6wd, my truck will be similar to his build, probably longer and for sure slower and once finished will have a flat deck and working winch. I also might put the rear tandem axles on a floating subframe but still undecided about that. | |

That is one cool looking rig. As for your esc question,I'd go with 2 esc's. Have fun with your build. |

I've just finished building (well, mechanically finished) a Tamiya Wild Dagger based 6x6, I have an LRP AI 10 turn limit ESC (which has its issues, but works here) running three 35 turn motors, no problems at all so far.
