very cool idea with the batteries. Not a big fan of the "blingy" wheels tho. I bet it does pretty good with the low CoG

I like the way the blue batteries shine on the wheels. Almost looks like you have neons in your wheels. Seriously though, that thing looks awesome!

I really like the thorns, they bulge out the sidewalls real nice. So far this thing performs very good. Wait till I get the burn set up working. All you hawaii boys better step it up or you'll never win

Nice rig! I started to call mine "The Stickness" but the Terry Tate "I bring the pain baby, wooo!" thing was kinda funny...so it stuck. Looks like you're in Aiea. Ever go to Sandy Fleming's? Is The Hobby Company still open in the mall? Got any spare wahine you can send to a haole? Make sure they bring some Matsumoto's and Li hing mango with them. PM headed your way. The VG6000 kicks ***...there's no menu so setup is very easy. Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 11-20-2005 at 09:38 PM. |

So it really is a sickness w/ all the money I've spent in the past couple months building this, a maxx, 2 TLT's, & I also bought Joe Mauma's tube clod. And now I want to build a Rig like Badger's flat bed or RCKjeep's truggy. Quote:
I was at Fleming's today, he has drift sessions every other weekend...won the drift comp also...LOL The Hobby Co. is still there. Quote:

I always got mixed up on where Mililani and Aiea stopped and started. I thought the towers were in Aiea. Does Alan still work at The Hobby Company? He's an auto crafts teacher at one of the local high schools. Does alot of static models. Have you ever competed in the Perimeter Relay? I did that two years in a row...a 137 mile relay is no joke. Man...I really miss Hawaii.

Ah! Pearl City...there we go! I also lived in Mililani...then moved to Helemano. Does Jed still run Island Cycle in Mililani? BTW...killer Clod. But keep it out of the saltwater! |

Jason, I believe that Jed & his family either sold it or foldded up the shop. I think Alans still there, but I hardly go there. Never did the perimiter relay, too much for me, I like dirt bikes. Used to ride in Helemano all the time. Also, I was @ the LHS, Aloha Hobbies, the owner told me you guys (RCDriver) are going a few write ups of some products he's bringing in from Japan. One is TX li-po batteries & the other is a 1/5 scale gas on-road car, he said it might even be on the cover. I think he's gonna be the US distributor for them. I got the li-po for VG6000 coming in tomorrow, Kinda pricey but the stock 700mah really sucks. Unimoger, is there really any other place to get great ideas from other than RCCrawler? Thanks goes to all of the RCCcawler members really, I've learned so much since I found this place |

Man, disturbin..I used to mountain bike the dirt bike trails at Helemano. Might've ran into you a time or two. We'd go into the gulch, through the sugar cane fields and end up above Waimea Falls. Also biked all over the area between Helemano and NCTAMS. I left a chunk of my right thigh near the small stream and waterfall at Helemano. |

If that's the stream & water fall that feeds the resivior, then I Know exactly where your talking about, used to swim/sit under the water fall to clean up after riding. I almost died there once Came around a turn on the pineapple field that had a steel cable stung across it like a gate. 3rd gear pinned, didn't see it till it was too late, so I tried to weelie over it. Didn't get it over, but it kept me from getting decapitated I wanted to sue Dole but I think that would have f*cked it up for everyone. |
