| 2.2 or bigger?
Hello all, I just got my super clod crawler yesterday! It is running 2.2 wheels and tires. I am not a big fan of them right now. what is the average size wheel and tire combo for these? I will be running on rocks.

The current fad is 2.2 moa, such as berg, bully, LCC and clod. If you want to run 2.2 clod, checK out the sticky above. As for super clod tire size, a bunch of us started on XL moabs on 40 size 40 beadlocks from axial and proline. Some are trying out cut and shut tires (taking several 2.2 tires and cutting/gluing into bigger tires) the plowboys from Nova Ark seems to be the best one out there at the moment.

| You mean 2.2 wheels on clod axles? Yes almost any 2.2 wheels with 12 mm hex will work. You may need add couple washers when using 2.2 wheels, due to long clod stubs. I run mine with Dna assassins berg offset, Work great.

not trying to jack this thread but got a ? I have a 2.2 stick crawler now and I'm going to build a new crawler with the Vanquish chassis, not comps just bashing, would Moab XL G8's be better than 2.2's for bashing on big rocks? |

no such as 12mm hex in 40's...most of them are in either 17 or 23 mm. check out rc4wd.com... here's the link.... I used the 17mm hot-racing adaptor. http://www.tcscrawlers.com/By-Truck-Tamiya-Clodbuster-p-1-c-252.html edit: Did't see that you wanted the 14 mm.. try this.....http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSBA4 Last edited by Mudsy; 12-28-2009 at 09:30 AM. |
