Talking vintage clod vs. superclod

I have a 87 or 88 vintage clodbuster and was wondering if there is a complete list regarding parts compatability between the two. Getting ready to buy a super clodbuster for my stepson and refurb my old one.Finnally got an excuse to get it back in the dirt.

They are exactly the same, except for blue colored bumpers and stuff.

Im almost postive that the super clod has bracing were the vintage has nothing my friend who has had quite a few "vintage" clods and got a "super" last christmas. He found some steel plates that went in the bottom of the tub and strengthened the link mounts that he hadn't seen before on the earlier clods. But these are pointless seeing as no one uses the stock chassis anyway.

The original clod buster also featured the bow tie grill and "Cheverolet" on the tail gate, in later years they did away with it and now on the super Clod you have a grill that has 4x4x4 in it now, kinda lame if you ask me

Yea it's lame, but they did that because they lost trademark rights from Chevrolet.

Original Clod had red parts, Chevrolet tailgate, front grille with Chevy badge. White wheels.

2nd version was like the 1st (red molded parts) just with a plain tailgate and grille (No badges or Chevrolet). White wheels

3rd generation has blue molded parts, braces, and the grille has the 4x4x4 badge. Tailgate is still blank. Chrome wheels, new decals.

If you find what appear to be Clod parts that are yellow (shock bodies, bumpers), they're from a Bullhead.
