| Snow plow for the Clod, NEW PIC
Here is a picture of the plow I just built. Bolts directly to the front bumper. Let me know wht you all think? Should I leave it raw or paint it red? I have a raw one on ebay right now to see if it will draw any attention. I hope to make some more, All feedback is welcome, Thanks!!! Last edited by Troystr68; 01-14-2006 at 03:58 PM. |

Looks pretty good. I'm not sure if it's the picture or not but it looks like the blade is flat. Does it have a curve in it at all? If not you might want to put a curve in it and then paint (just the blade) yellow or red to make it look scale. If you paint it though you'll need a skid plate running along the bottom so the paint doesnt get worn off the edge and make it look crummy. Nice Job, how about some pics of it bolted to a truck? |

yeah there is 1 bend just over half way through, Boy is that aluminum I used rigid, I didn't want it to dig into the ground I wanted it to scrape. I am seriously considering the paint and the skid plate, I need to sell a few to get more materials they are very time consuming to build. If I keep em simple I won't have to charge as much. It's snowing here in Chicago as we speak so when I get home I plan on plowing the driveway with it. Untill then here is a picture of the last snow we got. This is the very first proto type I built to test the over all design, You can see the curve from this angle. This thing can move a decent amount of snow. Enjoy!! |

you use a servo to lift it up or down. I have a standard S148 futaba and it works fine, It's more fun with a 3 channel but you can do it with 2.

I don't see a blue star on the side of your name. If I were you I wouldn't be talking about selling these without one.:?

It makes it so you can talk about sellin stuff on here, if you dont have then you have to sell on forsale forum. It makes you a vender.

How would I go about getting a Blue star? I don't want to offend anyone or break the rules.

You say you can do it with just a two channel? How does that work? Do you just setup a Y connector and whenever you're in reverse the servo goes up and whenever you're going forward the servo goes down? The pic of it plowing is awesome. |

All that blade needs is a western sticker and some little yellow flags, on the sides and it would look like a replica, and it looks pretty scale. If i got that i would put swivel, or somethin, to make it pivot wouldnt be to hard to do. for the price i would say $30 bucks, for it the way it is now......
