Default Clocking Clod axles?

Hey guys,
As im sitting at work with nothing to do, i have another Clod based Super that im going to build. I kind of know what chassis and stuff im going to use. But i got to thinking, the Bergs can clock their axles (with minor mods of course) so can the Clod axles be clocked as well in the same fashion? I have noticed when i take my Super out crawling that the gear box and motor usually gets hung up a little bit. I know this seems like a stupid question and im sure someone has done it lol So hopefully someone will chime in on this. I do understand that i`ll have to modify the upper links to accept the new angle of the gear box and all.

Yes, you can lentghen up the upper links, however it'll contact the case much sooner. My fix? Get the defiance racing upper mounts. I use it and works great... Just about same concept with berg and bullys. Here the link to it....

Gotta call them to order some. I think it's still 30 per pair.

A tip, it will not work with hot-racing motor mounts, but the thunder tech style motor mounts works perfect. Hope that helps ya!

That certainly does help me out! Thanks Mudsy! Never would of thought to have an upper link mount like that. .....i was just thinking also, couldnt you just put a slight bend in the upper links to compensate for the clocked gearbox? Its just a thought, im not sure if it will throw off and angles or anything in the suspension itself with having the links bent like that.

I have done that with bend links......it works ok. It really depends on what chassis you're running. It'll work just fine with tvp, but not maybe not tube or bodiless chassis. I just perfer shorter links due to better looks and more clearence for my Beetlejuice chassis.
