Default problems during build-up.

I got some of my hardware, and I got my lower links, lower shock mounts, lower link mounts, etc, all mounted today. I do have some fine adjusting to do, but I'm running into some issues.

Under articulation, my lower link is hitting the motor (on the side where the wires are attached).

Also, it's seems my tires are hitting the lower links under full steer (left only, right seems fine). My steering limiters have been cut off to allow for max steering.

Any ideas? Like it said, I haven't made final adjustments yet, and this is only one side (waiting on hardware for the other axle).. maybe once it's all done I won't have any issues.

I'm using an INET chassis with some custom 8mm links and some 8mm shock mounts from Clod Mod Racing, clod axles with RC4WD lower link mounts/axle tube braces, and some IMEX Jumbo Swamp Dogs on IMEX rims.

More than likely need to narrow your wheels. What motor are you running?

like to have pics of how they are on the chassis, that would help us some, and more than likely your going to have to narrow your wheels just about eveyone does to clear links

I didn't think I'd have to... oh well.

So you narrow the wheels to get better backspacing, so in essence pushing the wheel further away from the links?

Sorry.. forgot to say that I've got the stock motors in there right now. I'm still building it up, so I don't know if I'll change them out. I'm looking to build more of a backyard basher than a crawler... so I want more speed than a lathe motor.

Going to have some trouble w/ the stock 540 can. Maybe look into a 35t lathe motor and gear it up to gain some speed.

So the lower # of the lathe motor, the faster it turns? And bigger gears = faster speeds?

the lower the number of turns a motor has will be faster, like you stock motors are 20t(i think) will be lots faster than a 45t motor
