| BIG problem with CPE BTA kit on clod axles
Well bought a CPE BTA kit from someone on here and have two issues. Where do I mount the lower links now, and what kind of servo arm do I use? I wanted to use a servo saver "kimbrough large" because it's a basher. I know it's not a crawler, but I figured that someone on here must have figured it out. I did a search but the threads are so old that either the pics are gone or no one found a solution, or did but didnt post what they did. |

Im amazed at no answers to your question?! Did you ever figure it out? I am having the same 'head scratching' moment myself. Anyone have any tips or pictures? Any and all help is greatly appreciated! |

I had issues with it when I used the integy axles and castor bblocks but not with the stock ones. I used the ppictures of some of the comp trucks on the cpe web site to figure it out. Basicly swap the castor bocks (hubs) the steering arms are pointed inward. Then run the metal bar on the botom side of the steering arms. (You may be able to put them on top if you have clearance with the servo.) Then mount the servo. The mount will depend on the servo size and the clearance you have with the save. You can mount it horizontally above or below the shelf, or vertically sticking off the side of the shelf. Mine was horizontal on the top due to the size of the saver. I mounted the servo so the horn/saver was toward the center of the car so that there was enough space between the saver and the mounting hole one the bar. |
