I recently bought a used Hustler Super with clodbusters. The prior owner had it for about two years before he sold it to me. I'm thinking out stripping it down for a make-over. While the chassis is off, etc., what should I do with the clodbuster? Leave it as it's running fine or to give it a tune-up, if can be done? Thanks |

while its apart, keep going, a service could just mean, tearing it down to the guts and gears and re-assemble, gives you a chance to see whats inside and the condition its in, and give it a proper lube job on re-assembly, I say do that.

Being a newbie to crawling but quite a few years in rc planes and helicopters, is there a manual available for the clod just in case I need to re-assemble (of course I'll take plenty of pictures doing the disassemble). Thx. |

Clod axles are pretty easy to work on, If you've done Helli's and planes then these will be a breeze, plus everyones a newb at one time. NO big deal... plus thats what forums are for. if everyone goggled everything all the time there would be no use in having a forum. If you searched and read but still not sure ask away. ![]() |

the biggest thing is to take your time and go step by step and pay close attenchion to what your doing.. and it's a piece of cake. after a while you will be able to do it blind folded....... ![]() |

Checking the bearings, gears and regreasing is all that you really need to do to Clod axles. We have any of the parts you may need for that winter project... As far as Clodbusters, there are 5 10th scale versions. All share the identical axles. 1. Original Clodbuster with Chevy grill and Chevrolet tailgate 2. Clodbuster without Chevy Grill & lettered tailgate 3. Bullhead (Semi truck body) 4. Super Clodbuster (4x4x4 grill & blank tailgate) 5. Metallic Clodbuster (Chrome body w/ESC) |
