For a bit of extra clearance on your steering arms, place both your tie rod and drag link on top of the knuckle ;)

How thick is the poly chassis? I think thats what I used for my first 2.2 chassis and it was 1/8in. thick. It started spider webbing on me around each drilled hole, so I switched to aluminum.

it is 1/8" if it cracks i will go to 3/16 or 1/4 time will tell may have to go to 3/8 on the links if they don't hold up.

That's pretty sweet looking. Almost looks like a show truck with all of the color coordination. Nice job.

Since it is 1/8in, it will hold up for a while. I ran mine for about 3 weeks before I noticed the spiderwebbing. Then I accidentally dropped the truck and broke an ear off the chassis where one of the shocks mount to it.

If you want to, I would suggest getting a bunch of flat washers and put one on both sides of anything through a drilled hole in the chassis. I only had them on one side and I think that was what happened to mine.

I'm doing a NN inspired chassis out of 1/4 inch Lexan, so I'll learn from you guys. Washers on both sides will be a requirement! Looks great w the "firetruck" inspired body!

thanks for all the kind words i did put washers on both sides just to be safe. this truck is more for show due to the fact that i have a real nn super comp that i will be crawling with most of the time. but this will see some action, thanks again gary.

Hello,

Just dropping by to tell you that is one sweet truck you've built. Right now I'm in the process of building a 1/4" 30/30 acrylic body like the "Sarge" but a different design. I'm thinking about either doing Aluminum like you along the bottom or possibly Delrin. Anyway great job!
