Default My Home Built Clod

After 10 years of sitting in a box I decided to get the old girl back out. I decided to go online to see if I could still find parts and to my surprise I found a whole new world of RC Crawling!!!

Thanks to advice from this great forum, I have now locked my diffs and given the truck much needed finishing and repairs. Thanks for all the great servo mounting threads!

I would love some feed back on my design, especially suspension.

Here is my truck. Still needs a new body, any good recommendations.

After a little loving care: no electrics:

Ready to run!

Current Set up.

Old Stampede shocks
2 Tekin rebel esc
2 P2K pro motors

Looks cool. Seems to have some nice articulation. How's it drive? I'd like to see it with a body on it. Nice work!

Default Thank you

I am working on a body design now, that's why I am doing the 3D renderings. Because of the way suspension works any pre-made body must sit to high for my liking.

After a little more tuning tonight I have a full 90 degrees of articulation!

Wow! I see what you mean about the body. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Default For old times sake

Before I fully finish the conversion to super class crawler, I decided to play Monster Truck one last time! This is her highest settings under original hardware.

Default Back to a shelf queen.

About a month ago I bought my wife a Venom Creeper shafty, I love it, and now she got me one for my birth day. Don't get me wrong I will always love my Clod and will keep her till I die. That being said it's time for her motors and speed controllers go to a better use for now. To convert her to a comp ready rig is just to much money!

Same thing happened to my clod, I got a Axial AX-10 and pretty much put the clod on the shelf to collect dust

I've got both a creeper and a clod....love em both. I'm just a basher, too much money to make a clod comp worthy in my opinion.
