Default skid plate help

i was wondering what you all run for skids ...............I'm tired of beating the hell out of my front case it is almost to the point of cracking............I'm just looking for a good skid w/o loosing any approach angle i have looked at the TTR skid/servo mount but it looks like it sticked out too far.

Just looking for some input!!

Lemme Know

no one really runs skids on the bottom of the axles. i have about 500 battery packs through one of my axles and they are still fine. maybe a little thin in spots but haven't cracked yet.

i used thin sheet aluminum or tin or something, and use tin strips to cut it out into kinda a tapering T shape. i cut little tabs out and put them where the lower tranny bolts are. works great. ill try to post up a pic when i get my camera back.
